BASA Awards finalists announced

Business and Art South Africa (BASA)  has announced the 44 finalists running for South Africa’s leading awards celebrating business and arts partnerships.

The 19th annual BASA Awards, in partnership with Hollard and Business Day, aims to further strengthen and encourage business-art partnership.  BASA 19th

These awards celebrate an array of categories, giving business and arts partnerships the opportunity to walk away with something. The nominees await with anticipation as the finalists will be announced at the event in September.

CN&CO has a long and proud association with BASA. Our company is a corporate member, and Carel serves on the board. A fellow board member and chair of the judging panel is Gianni Mariano, founder of the Mastrantonio chain of restaurants, who spoke at one of our earlier ConFab sessions on people, brands and risotto.

“Once again, it was an intense and difficult task to choose the finalists,” he says. “It is always heartening to see partnerships that have sustained themselves over years and earned nominations again this year. It is also very gratifying to see the number of new partnerships that have emerged as finalists, especially those in the first-time sponsorship category.”

Finalists include Die Burger for its sponsorship of Suidoosterfees, in which CN&CO was also involved, as well as our friends at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, Standard Bank and RMB.

We wish the finalists and the judges well in the next rounds and look forward to joining you for the awards announcement.
