Women’s month with Cover Publications
The month of August in South Africa is dedicated to celebrating and recognising the role women play in our society. On the 9th of August we celebrated Women’s Day. This day is a public holiday that is celebrated annually on 9 August. It commemorates the 1956 march, were approximately 20 000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the country’s pass laws.
In celebration of Women’s Month, our friends at Cover Publications decided to ask a few of the women in the insurance industry to write from the heart on “being a woman”. We encourage you to take your time and really immerse yourself in these stories. They will not only enrich your understanding of the role women play in our industry, but they will encourage you to promote gender equality.
