Where were you at noon 6 Feb 2020

Where were you at noon on Tuesday 2 June 2020?

The CN&CO team really are all over the place – geographically speaking, that is! It’s part of our lifestyle business approach: being able to work wherever we are and finding a balance that helps us and our partners to succeed in all areas of life. Here’s where our Llewellyn and the other CN&CO family were at noon.

It’s a strange world we live in these days and as the country is starting to open again bit by bit, we are still far from the normal we used to know. The CN&CO team is normally scattered all over the country and always on the road to a new meetings with clients from a variety of industries. The lockdown has not stopped the CN&CO team from creating magic for our partners – adapting, adjusting and pivoting on the go.

One of the most important things during a crisis like this is to adapt as fast as possible and to keep things going…and boy we have seen some interesting projects launched during this time of being physically distant.

Here’s where the creative bunch of CN&CO associates were today at noon…

Kurt Solomon at his brand new home

Kurt Solomon shared a picture of his new work space at his new home. “The last week has been a little manic with the move but we are nearly fully settled. Still not up and running with Wi-Fi, so that has been a bit of a hack but will soon be back to normal. Currently creating a bit of magic with Lombard Partners and CN&CO events, as well as assisting Blair Atholl with their new website and upcoming social campaign” he said.

Carel Nolte smiling once again

Carel shared a picture from his Balcony of his study having a quick break between meetings. “Love Gauteng winter weather” he said.

Colin happy to hold a bottle of wine again

“I quickly popped out just now to buy wine, since my supplies are depleted! For the rest of the day I am working on some exciting storytelling for RMB and CIB, and setting up a webinar for later in the month on the how the arts sector is dealing/coping with the current reality.”

Joshua from his home office

“It’s Tuesday and the week is in full swing! Grateful for my home office, standup desk and the ability to virtually connect (thanks to Zoom, Google Meets, Microsoft Teams, Face Time… and many others)” Joshua said.

Our events trio (Fancois, Rikus and Llewellyn) at AIE 2019

The CN&CO Events team has a full week ahead with webinars for our partners and planning for the future. This afternoon we are launching the first edition of the Cartesian Talks series with Anthea Gardner from Cartesian Capital. We will end off the week with a DJ set for the EasyEquities team as well as a virtual party for the LQBTQ+ community.

How did you spend the second day of level 3 lockdown?

Llew has been working with CN&CO since 2015. At first he engaged with us via his events company, Urban Motion. In 2018 he joined the greater CN&CO team and has run many successful events, including the African Insurance Exchange, InsureTalk, FIA Awards and Summit, African Insurance Organisation conference and the OR Tambo Memorial Lecture.
