The IIWC is calling for student bursary nominations

The Insurance Institute of Western Cape (IIWC), is a non-profit organisation that serves the interest of the entire insurance community in the Western Cape region. They are also involved in making an impact in the community through a charity auction event they host annually. CN&CO is proud to play a small supporting role to IIWC, offering marketing communication services.

IIWC has recently announced that it will be sponsoring a student bursary to one of its members. It calls on members of Insurance Institute of the Western Cape to take up this bursary opportunity to study an insurance-related qualification up to NQF level 6 in 2019.

At CN&CO we are proud to support initiatives that help upskill and develop young talent. We have also been behind organisations such as The Insurance Apprentice, Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy and Bokamoso Education Trust, whom in their own right have made an impact towards assisting the youth.

In support of our aim of adding value to our members and industry, and ensuring its future success, the IIWC have embarked on a initiative in which it seeks to sponsor the studies for one of its members in 2019.

The chosen candidate will be awarded the Student Bursary at the IIWC Gala dinner being held on the 8th of November 2018.

Our call goes out to members who meet the following criteria, to apply:

  • Requirements for Student Bursary
  • Must be under 35 years of age;
  • Must be applying to study one of the pre-selected qualifications in 2019*;
  • Must be a member of the Insurance Institute of the Western Cape;
  • Would not qualify if the person has an existing bursary for studies;

*The bursary will apply to insurance-related qualifications up to NQF level 6 via either Milpark Business School or UNISA.

Applications close on 15 October 2018 and the final candidate will be selected and an announcement made by 15 November 2018.
