Social media is big and everywhere; and it’s not going away. Although many claim to hold “the answer” to getting 100% out of your social media platforms, in truth there is no exact scientific formula that guarantees absolute success.

“There’s no autopilot or plug-and-play option for social media,” says CN&CO’s Gianluca Tucci. “You’ve got to engage personally and often to get the best results. And if you do it right, platforms such as Twitter and Facebook can help you to build relationships and have conversations with your consumers, contacts, industry and the world!”

Twitter is a great example of an effective channel where people are communicating on a daily basis and sharing opinions, likes, topics, feedback and insights.

“It’s a very effective tool for raising awareness of your organisation,” says Gianluca. “It can be used to talk about your products and services, advertise events and specials, share insights and promote your organisational culture. And these days, businesses’ credibility is enhanced by their social media activity. A strong, diverse digital presence is an absolute must for any organisation, no matter what industry you’re in.”

Getting started

If your business doesn’t already have a social media presence, Gianluca recommends Twitter as a good place to start.

“Everyone is on Twitter,” he says. “It’s easy to get started, and the benefits are enormous when weighed up against the amount of time and money you’ll need to run your account.

“Give it a try. There’s nothing to be afraid of. If you’re stuck or concerned, drop us a line and we’ll get you fixed up in no time.”
