TedTalk Tuesday #237 These companies with no CEO are thriving.

TED continues to spread ideas and help us all be better critical thinkers. Watching, listening and talking about TED Talks is a popular pastime for many in the CN&CO community. We visit TED.com regularly to clear our heads, have a laugh, learn or get inspired. TED Talks open our minds, spark new ways of thinking and can lead to some very interesting conversations and business opportunities. Each week we pick a favourite and publish it on a Tuesday, because we like how “TED Talk Tuesday” sounds. It’s also a way that the CN&CO team play their part in spreading ideas and helping to make the world a better place. This TedTalk was selected by Blake Dyason.

As 2022 comes to an end I took some time to reflect on what was a challenging year personally and how grateful I am to be part of the CN&CO team, But why am I so grateful? What makes working at CN&CO different?

I am not alone. We have had new team members tell us how much they love working in the team and numerous clients express their love of working with CN&CO. While I believe each person in our team is amazing I think it has to do with the structure and culture of our business.

And then I came across this short Ted Ed video about the success of Co-Op companies.

CN&CO is a small team of passionate shareholders who create, adapt and innovate to best serve our clients and team, there is no hierarchy. We make big decisions together keeping us all engaged and accountable.

There is something special about team work and maybe Co-op structures bring the best out in teams.
