TED Talk Tuesday number #85: How to build a business that lasts 100 years

Watching TED Talks is a popular pastime at CN&CO. We visit TED.com regularly to clear our heads, have a laugh or get inspired. TED Talks open our minds, spark new ways of thinking and can lead to some very interesting conversations. Each week we pick a favourite and publish it on a Tuesday, because we like how “TED Talk Tuesday” sounds. This week’s talk was posted by CN&CO’s Carel. Here’s why he chose it.

I am fascinated by businesses. Corporates. Start-ups. Entrepreneurial ventures. Multi-national giants. Small, niche firms. CN&CO 🙂 All of them! Largely, I think, because business allows humans to contribute and grow society. In South Africa we need a far bigger middle class and less inequality, and business providing jobs is one way of achieving this.

CN&CO may be around in a hundred years. Or just a hundred days. Whatever the lifespan of this lifestyle business experiment, I remain hugely grateful for the people who give their 100% best to ensure we serve our clients and help them to grow.

Enjoy!
