Ted Talk Tuesday #66: The agony of trying to unsubscribe

Watching TED Talks is a popular pastime at CN&CO. We visit TED.com regularly to clear our heads, have a laugh or get inspired. TED Talks open our minds, spark new ways of thinking and can lead to some very interesting conversations. Each week we pick a favourite and publish it on a Tuesday, because we like how “TED Talk Tuesday” sounds. This week’s talk was selected by Lorraine Lamola. Here’s why she chose it…

Every time I search for a TED Talk, I always see this one in my suggestions but the title never urged me to watch it. Let’s be honest, the title does not really have clickbait qualities. To my surprise however, the talk was fun to watch. It happens to all of us: you unsubscribe from an unwanted marketing email, and a few days later another message from the same company pops up in your inbox. How frustrating! James Veitch brings British humour to this otherwise would-be mundane topic. He also presents a different approach to life and finds playfulness in things that frustrate us.

Chuckle with me on this Tuesday.
