TED Talk Tuesday #56 The world is broken

Watching TED Talks is a popular pastime at CN&CO. We visit TED.com regularly to clear our heads, have a laugh or get inspired. TED Talks open our minds, spark new ways of thinking and can lead to some very interesting conversations. Each week we pick a favourite and publish it on a Tuesday, because we like how “TED Talk Tuesday” sounds. This week’s talk was selected by CN&CO team member Rikus Kok. Here’s why he chose it:

The world is broken.

We all know that there are manny terrible things happening all over the world. From corruption, bad leaders, murders and much much more.

“The world is broken… but I believe we can fix it” These are the words of Maysoon Zayid and I agree with her. If we as individuals can be the positive change that this world needs, we can most definitely fix it together.

This inspirational TED talk explains how we can do this together. It will not always be easy and you won’t always be happy but you must experience the failure in life before you can learn how to succeed. Be friendly

Smile more. Be happy (It’s a choice) and try to cut out anything that might have a negative influence on your life. Sure, not everyone will like you – and that is okay. As long as you are the best you can be for yourself and for the people around you, you are definitely making a move in the right direction and helping to fix the world.

When you are walking around today, smile to at least at one stranger and be that positive change that we all need.
