TED Talk Tuesday #41 – Life’s third act

Watching TED Talks is a popular pastime at CN&CO. We visit TED.com regularly to clear our heads, have a laugh or get inspired. TED Talks open our minds, spark new ways of thinking and can lead to some very interesting conversations. Each week we pick a favourite and publish it on a Tuesday, because we like how “TED Talk Tuesday” sounds. This week’s talk was selected by CN&CO admin goddess Penny Hickinbotham. Here’s why she chose it:

I am often reminded by my CN&CO colleagues – always in a joking and loving way, of course – that I am the oldest member of the team. I see that as a badge of honour. I believe we all get a bit wiser, more independent and more comfortable in our own skins as we climb the ladder.

I came across this TED Talk by Jane Fonda, which I think sums up the philosophy of getting older rather nicely. I’ve always loved Jane Fonda and think her talk is great. She says we should see life as a staircase, rather than an arch. It’s an inspiring talk. Have a look:
