TAR and Simply: welcome to the CN&CO fold

It’s always great to start a new year off with good news. At CN&CO we’re delighted to welcome Thai Africa Restaurants (TAR) and Simply (just Simply) on board as new clients.

TAR is a group of fine Asian restaurants in Joburg – Kong in Cedar Square, Orient in Melrose Arch, Wangthai in Nelson Mandela Square, and So Yum in Hyde Park Corner.

“All these restaurants have been fully tried and tested by the CN&CO team over many years, and proclaimed to be amazing,” says Gianluca Tucci, who’s managing our relationship with the TAR team. “Get ready to see some compelling marketing and PR over the next few months – and beyond – with a strong focus on telling each restaurant’s story through distinctive brand and digital experiences.”

“There’s plenty of opportunity to host anything from intimate business lunches to all-out family festivities at a TAR restaurant,” he says. “Let us know if you’re stuck for ideas and we’ll hook you up! The food is amazing, and we love the whole ethos of the business.”

Our other new client for 2017 (so far) is Simply, an insurtech company offering easy-to-understand, affordable life insurance that caters to the mass market.

“We’re working with the Simply team to help them build their brand and develop a network of product ambassadors as their business grows,” says our man-on-the-job, Blake Dyason. “It’s a start-up business that’s breaking new ground in South Africa, so there’s still a lot of  places we can go together. It’s really exciting to be on board right from the beginning and see all the potential that lies ahead, and the role we can play to help Simply achieve that potential.”

Blake has already hooked Simply up with his mate Lara Maré van Niekerk at Rush Bars. Lara was looking to educate her kitchen team on life insurance and funeral plans and to help them get insured.

“Rush Bars is a company that makes nutritional products, which is a far cry from an insurtech company,” says Blake. “It just goes to show that if you think carefully enough, you can find links anywhere.”
