St Stithians College to host amazing African festival of the arts

Between 26 and 28 May 2016 St Stithians College in Sandton will be alive with a festival of African artistry. Namely, the Sanaa Africa Festival. The festival will be a multi-category festival of poetry, film, fine art, dance, music, theatre, and fashion.
St Stithians College (Saints) is a great location for this festival and attendees can visit various venues on one campus.
The festival takes place annually around Africa Day in May and makes for a wonderfully artistic way to celebrate the continent and our people.
On the Sanaa Africa website, the festival is described as “a celebration, recognition and elevation of Africa.” This is clear in the range of events available and the African artists who will lend their expertise and passion to these categories.
Get to Saints and be amazed by the talents of a range of artists like poets Lebo Mashile and Afurakan, musicians Mango Groove and Liquideep, fine artists Riva-Menga Makabi and Helena Hugo, dancers from Vuyani Dance Theatre, actors Kate Liquorish and Jaques da Silva, fashion brands Fundudzi and Sun Goddess, and many more. Great South African films will also be screened at the festival.
Each category has its own schedule of events celebrating African artistry each festival day, and you, the festival attendee, must choose between these events. In this way, you have the opportunity to create your own unique and inspiring festival itinerary.
