Signing off their AGT journey, SA choir sing with Macklemore and Kygo
When you are asked to dream where do you start? Do you start small or do you aim for the stars? The Ndlovu Youth Choir may be from a small village in Limpopo, but their America’s Got Talent Journey has shown the world the power of having the courage to dream and aiming for the stars.
America’s Got Talent is the biggest talent show in the world and has the ability to change people’s lives. For the winner of season 14, Kodi Lee, who impressed the world with his musical abilities and voice… it has certainly. Ten acts made it through to the final and the standard of performances was incredible with Simon Cowell referring to this year’s finale as the BEST ever in AGT’s history.
The grand finale is made up of two parts. The first part featured all the performances where the ten finalists performed their finals acts. The choir produced a rendition of “Africa” by Toto and embodied the message of a united Africa and World with this post off their social media handle, “Tonight we were proud young ambassadors of a united Africa. Our beautiful continent has the world’s youngest population and our hope is that our performance reflected the talent, opportunity and potential of millions of young people. One nation, one continent.”
In the semi-finals, the Ndlovu Youth Choir put their spin on “Higher Love” by Whitney Houston and Kygo. Lighting up the stage at the Dolby Theatre with a phenomenal choral performance, that combined their voices with fantastic choreography.
In part two of the grand finale, where the results were announced, the Ndlovu Youth Choir were invited to perform Higher Love alongside Kygo and their performance left us with goosebumps.

That’s a wrap, the talented youth choir’s journey on season 14 of America ‘s Got Talent has come to an end but their bigger journey is just beginning. Performing at the Dolby Theatre and bringing African energy to the world.
