Salt2Snow, a cycling trip to raise fund for cancer

Salt2Snow, a special cycling trip

At CN&CO we are fortunate to work with and for some amazing brands, who are run by passionate people who believe in supporting others and helping them achieve their goals.

Velosure, an established bicycle insurance company that launched in Australia in 2008, is one of these brands. The Velosure team is full of cycling enthusiasts who are passionate about riding their bicycles and providing fellow cyclists with personalised insurance cover to suit their bike rider needs.

In August 2018 we were pleased to learn of Velosure’s sponsorship and support of a unique ride through Australia to raise funds for cancer research. The story behind Salt2Snow, is a motivational and emotional one. Visit its site to read the full story.

Starting on 20 October, Paul Begg and Matt Holmes, two cyclists who are well known in Australian and global cycling circles, will ride a bicycle from Australia’s lowest point to its highest to raise funds for cancer treatment and research. Challenging their personal boundaries over this journey of 1 823km, in an effort to contribute to something bigger than themselves and allow the continued development of cancer research.

Keep an eye out on Velosure’s social media channels (Instagram and Facebook), for updates on their journey.

You can also follow the official social media accounts for the trip (Instagram and Facebook), Salt2Snow2018.

Let’s support Matt and Paul on this epic journey. You can donate to their cause here. A special shout-out to the epic Velosure team for showing support for this ride. This support reminds us that it is “never just a bicycle ride” and that it’s important to connect with the broader cycling community.

Cycling is a sport that is full of adventures and one that creates remarkable memories.

We wish Matt and Paul all the best for their trip. We will be watching your progress with a keen eye and encourage everyone to show their support for the Salt2Snow ride, by either donating to the cause to help them raise funds for cancer research or by joining the team out on the road for pieces of the journey.
