Mzansi Tenors are going places… look out Hermanus and Joburg!

The Mzansi Tenors have been wowing audiences around the country since the group was formed during the Covid lockdowns. CN&CO has been part of the Cape Town-based tenors’ journey from the get-go. Through our relationship with Rand Merchant Bank, who support the tenors in many ways, we have helped the group with PR and social media to help build them into a powerful brand, as well as being powerful singers!

They’ve performed on the RMB Starlight Classics stage a number of times, and also, memorably, at Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre in October 2022. This was followed by a sell-out season at Pieter Toerien’s Theatre on the Bay in Cape Town in January 2023.

Here they are performing Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma” at RMB Starlight Classics in March 2022 at Vergelegen in Somerset West.

Coming up…

The Mzansi Tenors will be performing under the baton of Maestro Rickard Cock at the FynArts festival in Hermanus on Saturday, 10 June 2023. The performance will take place at the Dutch Reformed Church and promises to be exhilarating and uplifting – as their show always are. Book here for the Fynarts performance.

From there the tenors will trek northwards to Johannesburg, where they will put on six performances between 21 and 25 June 2023 at the Pieter Toerien Theatre at Montecasino.  You can book here for the Montecasino shows.

Their programme includes well-known opera classics, African pieces, Neapolitan favourites and hits from musical theatre.

“They are a South African sensation,” says RMB’s Carolynne Waterhouse. “They could hold their own anywhere in the world. RMB is enormously proud to be able to help in celebrating, rewarding and nurturing such phenomenal talent through the RMB Talent Unlocked programme.”
