My Career in Insurance Young Leaders Conference 2016

Calling all young leaders in the insurance industry! My Career in Insurance is looking for two young, passionate, dynamic insurance professionals to speak at its Young Leaders Conference (YLC) in Johannesburg in June. The conference will introduce the insurance industry to schools, educators, learners and their parents as a very attractive place to launch a career.

CO’s Rob Christian, who emceed the last YLC in Durban in March, says these events give individuals and insurance businesses a chance to interact with people in the school system.

“Most school kids aren’t aware that there are a variety of interesting career opportunities in the industry,” says Rob. “Events like these help showcase that reality and provide options for further interaction, hopefully resulting in more young people entering the broader insurance industry.”

This is the first time the YLC will be held in Joburg.

“Following on the success of previous events in Durban, we decided to host a conference in Joburg this year, where the market is so much bigger,” says My Career in Insurance director Gay-Lynn Rheeders of Rhed Oliv Insurance Brokers. “We are offering two young leaders the opportunity to be part of the speaker line-up and present our industry to the leaders of the future.”

  • based in Joburg
  • a member of the insurance industry with at least three years’ experience
    passionate about what you do
  • keen to give some motivational advice to your younger self and
  • interesting in promoting the exciting career opportunities in the insurance industry to young people
