Taking it “Easy” at the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is more than just a 5km race (it’s really 5.6km, but who’s keeping track?). It’s an event that brings together companies and their employees to promote fitness, teamwork, camaraderie and a whole lot of GEES! On March 30th, thousands of participants from various companies came together to run the race, known for being the world’s largest corporate running event.

A few friends and I were embraced by the awesome EasyEquities crew, and after quickly realizing we’d oversold ourselves in terms of our estimated finishing times, we had to bet on our confidence and enthusiasm to get us through to the end (not including our one Comrades entrant that is). We did have some halfway encouragement in the form of Jägermeister though, which certainly helped boost morale!

After the race, Carel and the team at Sparky’s treated us to some delicious (and well-deserved) Sparky’s burgers and post-race refreshments, where we all got to show off our race medals with pride. It was awesome to hang out with the EasyEquities team and celebrate our shared commitment to health and wellness.

Congrats to Team Easy who placed 43rd out of 332 teams – that’s in the top 13% of all companies that participated!

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is a great way for companies to invest in their employees’ well-being and build a strong team culture. It’s an event that promotes healthy competition, socializing, and giving back to the community. If you missed the event this year, be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s race and get your team ready for some fun! Watch out Team CN&CO, I see some running in our future…
