July is beading month at piece

Our friends at piece have sent out a brilliant newsletter that shares stories and promotes upcoming events at the downtown craft centre. Piece is the home of fabulous, hand-crafted clothing, accessories and gifts. It’s Carel’s go-to place when he’s looking for something unusual and beautiful as a gift.

July is beading month at piece

Join us at piece as we host a series of beading workshops with Master Beader Beauty Maswanganyi. Come spend a morning or an afternoon in our beautiful space, learn a new skill, take home your own crafted bracelet and browse our selection of unique crafts.

Winter’s icy breath is here and we have some beautiful throws, capes, shawls and jewellery so if you are feeling chilly pop in and stock up on winter warmers.

Giyani artist Johannes Maswanganyi and his youngest son Amorous popped in. Johannes, who was taught by his father, has no formal training and often carves images from his dreams. He currently teaches others in the area to carve and both his sons, Colin and Amorous, are carvers. We have a few of their works in the gallery.
