Jozi film festival 2018

Jozi film festival is an event close to our hearts here at CN&CO, with Chief Senor, Carel Nolte as the initial sponsor we are proud to have been working with JFF from its inception to the success that it is today. Now in its seventh year, Jozi Film Festival is the longest running multi-genre film festival.  Previous winners include:

Best International Short Documentary: NOBODY DIES HERE (Dir. Simon Panay, France)

Best South African Documentary: UPRIZE (Dir. Sifiso Khanyile)

Best International Documentary: TCHINDAS (Dir. Marc Serena, Spain)

Best South African Short Fiction Film: THE HANGMAN (Dir. Zwelethu Radebe)

Submissions for the seventh annual Jozi Film Festival (JFF) open 19 February 2018 and close 28 May 2018. As always, JFF is calling for feature films, short fiction films, documentaries (both short and long) as well as student films, from South Africa and internationally.

The Jozi Film Festival is thrilled to be partnering for a second year with Discovery Channel to bring you the “Don’t Stop Wondering Award”  – a call for 2-5 minute documentaries from filmmakers across Africa which showcase and celebrate unique African stories and capture Discovery’s ethos of sparking curiosity.
