What is Earth Hour?

Starting as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet and nature.

Every person or business can get involved, here some great ideas.

• Host a candlelit dinner
• Picnic under the stars with family and friends
• Build a puzzle under candle light with the family
• Meditate or join a silent yoga class
• Go for a walk in nature
• Have friends over and write a promise note of one thing you will change to care for our planet
