Have you thought about donating your old computer but removing the data is holding you back?

I recently reconnected with my old friend Bridgette from Xperien, I met her and Wally while working at RISKAFRICA an insurance publication.

Companies were reaching out to Brownie Points, my online volunteering and donation platform, to donate old computers but kept facing the challenge of removing the data and files from the computer. Which meant people were finding it hard to donate their old machines as they were concerned about where these files may end up.

Experien launched an amazing initiative to help solve this problem.

They specialise in secure data destruction. Protecting people and companies information while finding new uses for old computers. Thus, preventing and managing E waste which helps to prolong the life of an old machine, giving someone else in the world an opportunity in the process.

Companies can now donate their old computers to schools or school kids in need, knowing the data will be destroyed and the computer will be serviced and handed over in a working condition.

Covid-19 has forced schools and universities to go online and millions of kids don’t have access to computers while companies around the world have upgraded computers to laptops to allow their employees to work remotely.
