A phenomenal performance from our partner, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, during their audition as part of season 14 of America’s Got Talent saw them receive a standing ovation from the judges. Better yet, they received 4 “yes votes” from the judges which means that they are through to the next round of AGT.

The feedback that the choir has received since their performance aired has been remarkable. The song they chose to sing was a rendition of ‘My African Dream‘ composed by SA-born Alan Lazar. The choristers shared how they felt they were representing Africa while performing the song on one of the biggest stages in the world. Well we think that they did an amazing job and watching the performance gave many of our team goosebumps.

Social media erupted as people from around the globe joined the conversation and shared the choir’s audition video. The official audition performance on the AGT You Tube channel has had close to 3 million views and the videos on Facebook have had over 1 million views. Let’s continue to share the choirs energy and music, they definitely are contributing to #SARising.

If you have already watched the audition, here is a behind the scenes video of what it meant to some of the choir to audition for AGT.

For those who haven’t watched the full audition, check out the video below.

With the audition now behind them, it’s time to see how they progress through the rest of the competition. Thank you to everyone who has helped us share the choir’s infectious energy and bring smiles to people’s faces around the globe.
