IISA/INSETA director development programme – deadline extended to 23 August

One of our partners, the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA), has partnered with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) to host an Insurance Director Development Programme to be delivered by the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.

CN&CO supports education in all its forms, and this is one way for insurance executives to contribute to their own development as well as the upliftment of skills in the industry in general.

“The programme is aimed at developing directorship skills for insurance practitioners who are at executive management level,” says a statement from the IISA. “This will create a pool of skilled directors within the industry and contribute towards mitigating the risk of skills shortage at this level.”

Overview

Below is an overview of the modules that will form part of the programme.

CPD hours

The programme will contribute towards continuing professional development and will be awarded CPD hours.

Criteria

Candidates must have five to 10 years’ work experience in the financial services sector, with at least three to five years’ executive management experience.

• Detailed profile with work history
• One-page motivation to be admitted to the programme
• Copy of certified Identity Document

Closing date for applications has been extended to 23 August 2019. No late applications will be accepted.

The programme will start in September 2019.

Cost

The value of the programme is R37 700. Due to sponsorship from INSETA, the IISA is able to deliver the programme at a discounted rate:

• Members: R18 850 (excl. VAT)
• Non-Members: R22 500 (excl. VAT)
