Nothing

I wish someone had told me to “just leave it.”

“I wish someone had told me” is a series of posts that feed into our inquisitive nature at CN&CO. Each week we hear from someone in our network about something interesting or surprising that’s recently happened or occurred to them – or lessons they learnt. These blogs are a way to pay it forward and form part of CN&CO’s belief that the world can be a better place – and we all have a responsibility to make it so. This week’s post is by Carel.

Sometimes life’s busy. And you can’t do everything you “have” to do. Or you just don’t feel like doing something that you “must” do. If you are like me – a planner who is highly organised and judges procrastination as the ultimate sin – you simply push through those times and either give up sleep or your gym time.

Well, sometimes you can also take a duvet day. Or just not do something. Like not writing your “I wish” blog. Just leave it. And whilst I find it very hard to allow myself to do this, after a back to back few weeks and a busy one coming up, I am going to pour myself a glass of wine, sit in my garden and think of nothing. Before going to bed to be ready for all life has to offer. And not write this blog 🙂 #TiumeOut #Perspective
