There’s something delicious in-store for customers at Orient, Wangthai, So Yum and Kong this Valentines Day…
Every year on the 14th of February, people around the world exchange cards, candy, gifts or flowers with their special “valentine”. This is a day renowned for being the most romantic of the year. The tradition of giving gifts to loved ones is thought to have originated from a Roman Festival known as Lupercalia, dedicated to Faunus, the Roman God of agriculture. During the celebrations boys would draw names of girls from a box and the pair would be partners during the festival.
Living in the 21st century, the concept of sharing Valentine’s Day with a significant other has definitely evolved and what better way of sharing the love then with a moment of pure goodness? Our clients, the Thai-Africa Group (which includeOrient, So Yum, Kong and Wangthai restaurants) have taken the time to express this moment by offering all of their V-Day guests with a complimentary dose of dim sum and sushi “luv”.
Dim sum, which is also called dian xin in Mandarin, the direct translation being, “touch the heart” is a perfect choice for a Valentine’s Day lunch or dinner date. It provides delicious tastes that will surely stimulate conversation at any moment. On V-Day, So Yum Hyde Park, Wangthai Sandton and Orient Melrose Arch are offering their guests a customized dim sum dish as they arrive – heart shaped dim sum to tickle their guests taste buds allowing them to share in the #dimsumluv experience.
Sushi, a delicacy that many indulge in is a perfect choice for a fresh tasty dinner shared with a significant other on this summer night. Kong Cedar Square are offering guests a #sushiluv experience in the form of sushi hearts as they arrive.
If you happen to visit one of the restaurants, enjoy the treats and be sure to share the love online by using on of the #’s: #dimsumluv or #sushiluv.
We wish all our clients, friends and family a special, romantic and delicious V-Day.
