Gear up for the Telkom 94.7 Cycle Challenge

The Telkom 94.7 cycle challenge is the world’s second-largest timed cycle race after the Cape Argus Cycle Race. It is held annually on Cycle Challenge Sunday, the third Sunday of November in Johannesburg. Between 20,000 and 30,000 participants complete the challenging 94.7 km (58.8 mi) course every year. This year the event is taking place on Sunday, 19 November

Whether your goal is racing for an impressive finish, or just having a comfortable ride; a personal challenge or riding for a purpose, the cycle challenge is certainly a great and very rewarding challenge for any participant. The Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge Ride for a Purpose allows you to ride for a cause greater than your personal goals. Whether you’re raising awareness or funds for a cause, cycling in memory of a loved one or riding for a cause close to your heart, the spirit of the event encourages riders to open their hearts as they take to the roads.

CN&CO client, Purple Group have entered Eight energetic Purplistas as well as our CN&CO team mates Carel and Kurt. They will be riding with other  St Stithain’s participants for a worthy cause: The Thandulwazi Trust Fund.

“Recognizing the broader challenges in the teaching and learning of Mathematics and Science in South Africa, Thandulwazi will continue to develop its offering of unique programmes for students, teachers and prospective teachers through the Saturday School, in-service teacher development training, and the internship programme.”

Team Purple have supported Thandulwazi for the past 2 years, with spreading the word, getting riders and sponsoring the water point.
