FIA Awards 2018: congratulations to all the winners

The much anticipated #FIAAwards2018 took place place at the Sandton Convention Centre at the end of June. The event was attended by more than 900 intermediaries, insurers and friends. Hosted annually, the aim of the awards is to highlight and celebrate key players within the underwriting, investment and insurance industry.

A glimpse of the set up

The evening had a night at the Oscars feel to it with guests dressed to the nines. The evening was hosted by our very own Carel Nolte and the 2018 Insurance Apprentice winner Noxolo Dlamini. The duo bounced banter off each other as they presented the awards across nine categories.

A big congratulations to all the winners.

The overriding theme of the awards ceremony was “senses.” Playing on the five senses, there were various client activations  and prizes up for grabs for all who attended. One of the many amazing giveaways was an all inclusive getaway to any of our partner,  ClubMed’s resort valued at R60 000. This awesome prize was sponsored by Elite Risk Acceptances who made their debut at the awards.

In true CN&CO style, events guru Rikus left no stone unturned with regards to entertainment. There  were circus acts, live concert and a floating singer. Post the award ceremony, guests partied the night away to the sounds of a live band and some wine.

It was great to see a number of direct insurers at the event, notably OUTsurance, OUTvest and King Price (who sponsored TWO trips to Mauritius!) Their presence at the event sent a strong message that we’re all on the same side, serving the same consumers.

A big thank you to the main 2018 FIA partners, Bidvest, Global Choices, Hollard, ITOO, Lombard and Santam for their support.
