Evalex to attend and present at upcoming ACSG Conference

Our partner Evalex will be attending and presenting at the highly prestigious 40thAssessment Centre Study Group (ACSG) Conference which takes place on 12 and 13 March 2020 at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton.

CN&CO has been working with Evalex on its digital communications since 2015, although our relationship with the company goes back more than 15 years.

The theme of the ACSG conference this year is ‘Gearing for the Future’ and boasts a fantastic programme.
 
With a number of high profile keynote presentations and a total of 15 open space presentations from South African and international presenters (USA, Poland, Indonesia), the conference will cover Assessment Centre (AC) case studies and research. The 2020 conference also includes a virtual reality tournament and a gala dinner on the night of the 12th
 
The conference will also consist of three AC Academy training programmes, taking place before the conference (Monday, 9 March – Tuesday, 10 March), as well as six AC workshops on Wednesday, 11 March.
Evalex is very well represented at this year’s conference, with a number of presentations taking place:
 
The company’s founder, Dr Pieter Bronkhorst, along with an experienced consultant, Jason Manson-Kullin, and a number of other local and international assessment centre experts, will present on ‘Assessment Centres and ACSG – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow: The ACSG Celebrating 40 years’. This fascinating presentation will take place on Thursday, 12 March at 15:00.
 
Pieter is also involved in a session on Friday, 13 March at 12:00, where he will share his reflections on the 2019 International Congress on Assessment Centre Methods, which he attended and presented at late last year.
 
On Thursday, 12 March at 10:00, Pieter will also be presenting some fascinating Evalex research on ‘What predicts leadership potential best – assessment centres, cognitive tests or personality tests?
 
Kevin Distiller, the MD of Evalex’s sister company Odyssey Talent Management, also has a presentation on Thursday, 12 March at 12:00 entitled ‘The use of algorithms in assessment centres – for better or worse?
 
Evalex MD, Hendrik Bronkhorst, has a presentation on Friday, 13 March at 12:00 on ‘Do assessment centres really work in selecting the high potential applicant or are we wasting our time? Empirical research showing the effect the algorithms and assessment type have on the return on investment of assessments.
 
David Bischof, business development director at Evalex, is the chairperson for People Assessments in Industry (PAI), an interest group of SIOPSA. He will be presenting on ‘Technological advances in assessments and the changing role of assessment practitioners’ at 11:00 on Friday, 13 March.
