Europ Assistance South Africa launches USSD call me service for deaf and speech impaired clients

Trailblazers within the assistance services industry, partner Europ Assistance South Africa (EASA) has launched yet another innovative service, the USSD Call Me service which has been made available to MTN 112 deaf and speech impaired clients. Emergency incidents are always chaotic; it is not always possible to contact a call center for assistance, more so if you have some form of disability. This is what makes the USSD Call Me Service all the more necessary.

The Call Me Service has three options to select from as follows:

Step one: Welcome to 112 Emergency Assistance. Please select an option:

  • Medical
  • Police
  • Fire
  • Sea Rescue

step two: Select Province- available in all nine provinces

Step three: Location- Street address and Suburb

How does one get the Call Me Service? All the client has to do is:

  • Save the following number  *130*3272*29#
  • In an emergency, press this number and select the service option.

An SMS message will be sent to the MTN 112 Emergency Contact Center who will communicate the requested emergency to the relevant service provider. An SMS will be sent to inform the client that his/her service was requested within the agreed emergency SLA timelines.

And just like that you have emergency assistance at your fingertips! The service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Now this is next level convenience, the best part? It comes at absolutely no cost to clients. CN&CO is proud to be working alongside such an inclusive and forward thinking company. Great work Europ Assistance South Africa.
