Double-bill COVER conferences coming up in October

COVER Publications will be hosting two insurance-related conferences concurrently at the Maslow Hotel, Sandton, on 12 and 13 October 2016: the 2nd Technology in Financial Services Conference and the 6th African Insurance Distribution & Bancassurance Conference.

The conferences aim to draw 240 senior industry executives and 40 world-class speakers from 13 African countries.

“Insurance and tech companies go hand in hand in today’s online world,” says Cover’s editor at large, Tony van Niekerk. “Last year’s inaugural tech conference was hugely popular, proving to us that an independent networking and sharing environment, where various different technology providers and the industry they partner with can come together, has an important role to play in the future growth of both industries.

“The African Distribution conferences always draw a lot of interest from across the continent,” adds Tony, “and so this year we decided to run the two conferences concurrently, giving delegates from both the opportunity to ‘meet in the middle’. This format will not only provide attendees with access to top-drawer speakers, but will also double the networking opportunities!”

Innovation will be high on the agenda at both conferences this year.

“Over the last few years we have seen innovation continuously dominate the various presentations at the African Distribution conference, prompting us to focus on innovation as the main theme for this year’s event.”

CN&CO’s Carel Nolte will be speaking, as will our tech clients Entelect and Innosys.

Register for the conference that most suits your needs and then attend the sessions you prefer.

“Delegates from each conference are welcome to attend sessions at the other conference, giving more choice and more variety,” says Tony.
