Cosmopolitan Beauty Masterclass 2018 powered by Clicks

Over the weekend, Cosmopolitan powered by Clicks SA hosted the 2018 Cosmopolitan Beauty Masterclass which took place at Crystal Court in the Mall of Africa. Deputy editor of Clicks, Noxolo Mafu hosted a jam packed day of the best hair and beauty trends.

Live demos and masterclasses were facilitated by celebrity make-up artist, Nthato Mashishi and natural hair genius, Urban Mimz! “From brows to braids, this is the excuse you’ve needed to treat yo’self,” said the Clicks team. “Get party season ready! Girl, we know you’re worth it!”

After a warm welcome from the MC, the rest of the day was broken up into different sessions that included: foundation and face; eyes and brows; lips; live hair demo and ended off with a panel discussion.

In addition to the expert tips, COSMO Beauty Masterclass 2018 was jam-packed with fun activities. From getting your nails ‘did’ at their mani stations, before touching up hair and makeup for some Insta-worthy pics at the photo wall. Ladies enjoyed networking with new and unfamiliar faces at the lounge area while sipping free drinks, courtesy of Xcite. This was truthfully a day full of pampering! Talk about a perfect combination of absolutely EVERYTHING beauty! Each individual also walked away with a Clicks supplied goodie bag and full make-up kit worth over R1500.

Our partner Makeup Revolution was one of the brands that were featured as part of the masterclass, with masterclass participants learning tips and tricks to use some of Makeup Revolutions best products.

I chatted to Tayla Sayers, brand ambassador for Makeup Revolution  and official Makeup Revolution makeup artist about the day:

The day was jam packed with activities. They had a nail station and hair station. There were loads of free mani’s and hairstyles taking place. They had their competition for free gifts via social media, so there were plenty selfies taking place. They had the professional panel on stage talking about hair and makeup, giving everyone better insight on beauty as a whole. It was fun, it was lively and the turn out was amazing.
I think it was absolutely, the most amazing initiative for females and men alike. The event was so well put together, with so many things to do, from makeup to hair and nails. The makeup Masterclass was so informative and as a makeup artist, I walked away with a few new techniques to try. – T.S

For any beauty lovers, there is nothing quite as exciting as an entire day of pampering. More than that, the day offered insight and advice straight from the best beauty influencers the country had to offer. Simply PRICELESS.

With the new year around the corner, we have no doubt that Makeup Revolution is going to bring the best of everything beautiful to 2019! For all the latest on Makeup Revolution visit Instagram and Facebook.

And remember, as Audrey Hepburn once said, “On a bad day, there’s always lipstick!”
