CN&CO & social engagement

Team CN&CO has been spreading the social media love at various spots in and around Gauteng recently.

Colin gave some advice at the Legacy Underwriting Managers and APBCO Brokers strat sessions at the fabulous Orient Hotel on the outskirts of Pretoria at the end of February. The joint speaker session was hosted by our good friend Christo Crafford of Martha’s Mojo, who has retained his close contact with the insurance industry since he left to launch a fleet of (really amazing) food trucks. One of his other day jobs is working with the Legacy Group who provides a cutting edge administration platform to brokers including APBCO.

APBCO is an insurance brokerage that we’ve had relationships with since our days at Hollard Insurance in the early 2000s and Legacy Underwriting Managers more recently. Colin spoke to the team about the importance of keeping up with a new generation of consumers in order to ensure sustainability.

Carel was also in the audience but, in his own words, “largely redundant” as Colin does such a superb job. However, Carel did manage to chirp speaker Charles Savage from EasyEquities during his fintech presentation and do a wrap up of the morning’s speakers.

A week later Colin was front and centre again, this time with Gianluca at the Riversands Incubation Hub in northern Johannesburg. The duo gave a brief overview of building personal and professional brands online to a group of around 45 SME owners from a variety of industries.

Riversands serves as a large-scale incubator for around 150 small businesses, which it supports through the provision of services, facilities and development programmes. if you want to support a bunch of talented entrepreneurs, click here to see what is on offer – we predict you will be blow away!

Colin and Gianluca will be returning in May to teach business owners how to set themselves up on social media and start posting like a boss!

And then… Colin and Gianluca will be presenting a half-day talk on social media for yourself and your business at the Insurance Institute of South Africa’s training centre in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, on 30 March. Click here for more details.
