CN&CO is delighted to work with new intermediary XonRisk

At CN&CO we love working with great people who are dedicated to doing good work and building a better South Africa. We also do plenty of work with some fantastic insurers and a number of businesses in the wider financial services industry, too. So, it makes sense that we have partnered with XonRisk, the new kid on the insurance block that is all about building sustainable businesses and helping to transform the insurance industry.

XonRisk is an insurance intermediary & risk advisory organisation. It is focused on making insurance accessible for businesses and individuals at all levels of the economy. The company was started by Noxolo Dlamini, a young and experienced underwriting manager who many of us will know as the 2018 insurance apprentice and co-MC (with Carel) at the FIA Awards this year.

XonRisk is powered by Econorisk. The relationship between XonRisk and Econorisk is simple: the expertise at Econorisk supports and advises the work of XonRisk, if and when appropriate. XonRisk is powered by leading independent risk and short-term insurance advisory business Econorisk, another member of the CN&CO family.

Pronounced “ZonRisk”, the organisation is dedicated to meaningful involvement in African economic development through impactful solutions for the low insurance penetration challenge. Despite the necessity of insurance, insurance uptake in Africa is low.

We like that XonRisk has a strong focus on assisting emerging enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups with creative, tailor-made solutions.

Nox is the MD. “I am strongly motivated by youth development, female empowerment in the South African insurance industry, and the need to assist businesses with their insurance needs,” she says. She is passionate about “Africa’s economic development and using risk management, traditional insurance, and alternate risk transfer methods as a growth-enabler for businesses,” she elaborates. Nox holds a risk management degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and she has experience in the field.

Noxolo Dlamini, XonRisk MD

Her experience includes underwriting of specialist risks throughout the African continent and extensive experience in specialist legal claims, making her the ideal person to lead XonRisk as it provides much-needed risk-management solutions to SMEs, individuals and start-ups.

XonRisk was started with the dual purposes of:

  1. Increasing insurance participation in the SME sector. This sector is a key driver of a country’s economy
  2. Effecting racial and gender transformation in South Africa’s short-term insurance industry

We love that XonRisk’s focus is to help businesses grow sustainably and to help effect positive change in the way of transformation in the industry.

You can look out for the XonRisk website which will have plenty of useful information on the organisation. If you are interested in learning more, contact Lethabo-Thabo by emailing thabs@cnandco.com.

Welcome to the family, XonRisk! We look forward to making magic with you and helping you grow insurance participation in the SME sector.
