CN&CO and SA Women’s hockey, team up

CN&CO has a long and varied history with sport and the support thereof.

If it isn’t some of us completing the #UltimateHumanRace, to a few of us running from Joburg to Cape Town in seven days with MAD2Run, it’s the latest challenge of our Word Nerd, Colin Ford taking on the sani2c with Michael Avery from Classic1027FM.

From the support side, we have been involved with Rowing SA since 2000 when Carel helped with their communications and made friends with Ramon De Clemente. We also provided support to Rowing SA and the rowers at the 2016 Olympic Games held in Rio De Janeiro, where Shaun Keeling won a silver medal with Lawrence Brittain.

Shaun now works with EasyEquities, a partner of CN&CO. Read about what he has to say as life after a sports career.

So, it is no surprise that we are now working with the SA women’s national hockey team. When Robin van Ginkel, director of hockey at St Stithians, where both Carel and Allan are involved, Allan coaching at the boy’s college and Crusaders club, as well as playing there, was appointed as the Head coach of the women’s team, he asked us to help raise the awareness of the team and sport.

We will be working with Robin and his team over the next few months to see where we can help add value as they work toward their next challenge.

They start off with an intense 10-day training camp.

We at CN&CO love the way Robin works and the latest of his initiatives is a live streaming of the St Stithians astro, where the Hockey 5s is currently underway during the summer months and the Boys and Girls colleges play their hockey. The Crusaders hockey club also plays out of there.
