Being held to ransom
This past weekend Liberty Group was cyber attacked and held to ransom.
In a day and age where these types of occurrences are the new terrorist attacks, now more than ever, business owners have to realise the importance of having cyber cover in place.
Product champion for Cyber insurance at ITOO Special Risks, Ryan van de Coolwijk had this to say. “It is positive to see that Liberty have taken the responsible approach in notifying clients of the incident. As investigations proceed and more information comes to light, it will be interesting to see the cause and extent of the incident. As well as how this is managed by information regulators both locally and abroad.”
