#AnthemChallengeRSA keeps up the momentum on Workers’ Day

The creative brain behind #AnthemChallengeRSA, James Bassingthwaighte, has taken to Twitter to thank all the people who played a part in the compilation of the video.

In case you missed it, #AnthemChallengeRSA is a video of 1 000 people performing the national anthem “together” while under lockdown.

Here’s a reminder of exactly how fabulous the video is:


The video has been viewed close to 80 000 times since it was released on Freedom Day – Monday, 27 February 2020. It’s also been seen all over the media, from eNCA and Mnet to Cape Talk and The Lowvelder – and keep watching be sure to tune into Expresso on SABC3 over the next few days (6.30 to 9am) to catch an interview that James did with the show this morning.

James has created a mega-Twitter thread in which he thanks and tags the celebs who participated, as well as the groups (choirs, bands, etc.) who sent in submissions.
