Bye-bye, Bader: Allan leaves team CN&CO

Today we bid farewell to our good friend and team mate, Allan Bader. And although he will be leaving the CN&CO team, he remains very much part of our friendship circle.

In early 2017 we officially welcomed Allan to the CN&CO team. He had previously worked with us at Etana and Hollard (where we became good mates) and was looking for a career change.

In the past two-and-a-half years, Bades has worked with many of our partners, most recently with the Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA). He is currently exploring a number of options in the insurance industry and plans to go “back to his roots”. He also has his finger in another few pies, which we’re sure will work out successfully.

His work with South African women’s hockey continues, where he serves as coach and inspirational cheerleader. (Actually, he’s an inspirational cheerleader wherever he goes, especially after a few dops.)

“Allan is great with people,” says CN&CO chief señor Carel Nolte. “He is loyal, fun and has a great sense of humour. It’s been fantastic being part of his journey from Nedbank to Etana to Hollard and then CN&CO. We wish him everything of the best. The next steps will be momentous. Have fun, Al, and – as I have been known to say on more than one occasion – ‘don’t fuc up’.”

Says Allan, “Thanks to everyone who has been involved in making the past two and a half years so amazing. I have learnt many lessons, both good and bad – but the good definitely outweighs the bad.

“I may not be around at CN&CO every day anymore, but I’m always keen for a dop!”
