The SA Women’s hockey team is ready for action
The Super Group SA Women’s Hockey team is set to take on Namibia in a three-match series at the Randburg Astro this weekend. This in preparation for their Olympic qualifiers taking place in Valencia, Spain, from 19 to 27 June.
They will face Wales, Italy and Thailand in their pool matches before moving to the knock-out stages.
Robin van Ginkel, Head Coach for the team and friend of CN&CO is ready for his first series in charge and feels the girls are ready as they have been at a training camp this week preparing.
Erin Hunter and Phumelela Mbande, recently appointed captain and vice-captain are also ready for the challenge.
The matches take place at the Randburg Astro in Joburg at the following times:
Friday, 24 May – 19:00
Saturday, 25 May – 11:15 and 19:30
