RMB sponsors Turbine Art Fair 2018

The Turbine Art Fair (TAF) is set to take place from Thursday, 12 July to Sunday, 15 July 2018 at the Turbine Hall in Newtown, Johannesburg.

An epicenter of emerging African art, championing established and new talent in an accessible environment, TAF brings together artists and galleries to showcase their work. Since its inception in 2003, the festival has become a hub for creatives and audiences from different backgrounds. The synergy between emerging artists and galleries provides opportunities to investors and new buyers to extend their collections easily, and for new artists to thrive off this talent platform.

A cultural experience like no other, the festival boasts artisanal food and beverages, vibrant music and an interactive Talks Programme. This year will again feature a talented array of artists, if you missed the festival last year, here’s a glimpse at Frans Smit’s work– one of the artists who showcased.

CN&CO is proud to announce that our partner, RMB has been named the headline sponsor for this event. We are huge supporters of the arts and we were actually a BASA Awards nominee, as such we are always excited when our partners also recognize the importance of the industry.  RMB promotes access to the arts by supporting and exposing emerging artists and attracting diverse audiences, together with existing and new collectors; a mission that aligns well with what TAF stands for.

“The business philosophy core to RMB’s 40-year history of success is ‘Traditional values. Innovative Ideas’. The visual arts both capture and communicate powerfully across this spectrum, reflecting the spirit of the time and fueling socio/economic and political discussion that may otherwise remain unheard. It is refreshing to see artists who, through their works, influence robust discussion, action or reaction, because of the relative permanence of their pieces in individual or corporate collections”, says Alison Badenhorst, Head of RMB Corporate Marketing.
