FirstRand exhibition celebrates women in the arts
There’s a fantastic pop-up art exhibition on at 4 Merchant Place in Sandton at the moment. (4 Merchant Place is the home of FirstRand Limited, the holding company of our client Rand Merchant Bank.) Material Consequences, billed as a Women’s Month exclusive, features the work of women artists, focusing on the role of women in society.
“By selecting a variety of female artists for this exhibition, working in diverse media, the exhibition showcases the incredible talent of these artists and their mastery of the medium,” says curator Teresa Lizamore of Lizamore & Associates. “The title Material Consequences presents a play on words for the consequences of art making practices and materiality that these artists are concerned with.”
The exhibition runs until 8 September 2017.
